Topical retinoids and some acne medications increase skin sensitivity and risk of damage. Stop retinoids at least seven days before waxing and consult your dermatologist. Always inform your technician about current prescriptions to determine safe timing for waxing.

Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and makeup on treated areas for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers and a soothing, alcohol-free moisturizer. Exfoliate lightly after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and contact us if prolonged redness or irritation occurs.

Gently exfoliate 48–72 hours after waxing to remove dead skin and free trapped hairs. Apply an antibacterial, non-comedogenic moisturizer and consider salicylic acid products to prevent ingrowns. Avoid tight clothing, and schedule regular waxes to encourage finer regrowth.
